Lost Valley Workday Cancelled

Our workday at Lost Valley scheduled for 2/11 is being cancelled. We have plans and some rough flagging in place for new trail but are still waiting for final approval from Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) before we can proceed. We hope to have final approval soon and will be working on a new trail at our next workday scheduled for 3/17.

There has been some discussion of a smaller workday on 2/11 at Lost Valley to do some maintenance on the trail, but we are not certain if that will happen or not. If it does happen check our message board for details.

The proposed new trail will replace some of the existing gravel road that runs along the creek. If you've been out to Lost Valley (LV) recently you've noticed some temporary orange fencing near the creek. The last section of fencing you see as you ride clockwise is the first area we'll be concentrating on. Our plan is to build new trail that will connect to the existing trail where the short wooden bridge is located as you start up the big climb. The new trail will be just under a mile in length and will eliminate about 3/4 of a mile of gravel road. Longer term plans are to eliminate more sections of that gravel road with trail.
