Packwood Trail Building Day - Saturday, Dec. 8th

When: Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 9:00-1:00

Lunch will be provided.

What: We will be working on the 2.5 miles in Packwood Park, starting at the low end. Americorps is working it now, and for the next three weeks, from the top, where the trailhead will be. We will walk the Al Foster to the work site, where we ended the last trail building day. We will do standard benching and clearing. Eventually, there will be eight miles of new, multi-use trail.

Where: Meet at the parking lot closest to the little railroad in Glencoe.

Directions: From I-44, go north on 109 about 3 miles to Old State Road, after just a few hundred feet go right on Washington, then about half a mile to the parking lot.

From I-64, go south on Clarkson for about 5 miles to Manchester Road, then west for half a mile to Old State Road, then south about 4 miles to Washington Avenue.

RSVP: Go to the GORC message board and let us know you are coming so we can get an accurate count for lunch. If you would like a vegetarian sandwich, please indicate that as well.
