Here are some things you can do to help GORC:
1) Attend a Workday:
We really need people to come out and help build trail. In case you aren't aware, GORC is now maintaining more than 85 miles of trail in 12 parks in the area. We just don't have enough people to maintain it all and build new trail.
2) Attend a Workday: See 1.
3) Become a GORC Member or renew your membership:
Tools, literature, a website. Your membership dues fund all of this.
4) Donate money to GORC:
Membership cost has been $10. Not enough to fund tools, literature, a website etc.
5) Don't ride on muddy trails:
Time spent repairing damage to existing trails is time taken away from building NEW trails.
6) Join IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association): we've learned all of our trailbuilding techniques from IMBA, and they provide a worldwide leadership and lobbying program for mountain biking.
1 comment:
Riding wet muddy trails is the A number 1 way to wreck a trail, let alone one that wasn't originally designed for MTBs like Chubb or sections of the original DeClue at GF.
